The anatomical shape of the body of the knee and patella ensures a tighter fit of the protection to the body and a lower profile of the protection elements. The kneecap and the shin guard are connected at the edges by a hinged design that ensures good mobility and eliminates gaps in the protection between the knee and the shin. The ventilated front part of the case contributes to the creation of a direct air flow passing through the shield during the movement of the player. The case is constructed using a molded hard plastic which, thanks to its ribbed construction, provides high-quality protection, while the medium-density foam that covers the inside of the case absorbs impact well, providing protection and comfort. The elements covering the side of the knee are reinforced with plastic tabs. Hip protection elements are made of medium density foam. The removable tab, made of a thick layer of low-density foam, provides additional protection and a comfortable fit of the shield to the leg. The point of contact between the body of the shield and the skate is covered with a layer of wear-resistant foam, which reduces the wear of the shields in this area. A nylon-reinforced strap fixes the shield under the knee. An adjustable, elastic strap with a width of 7.6 cm fixes the shield on the calf muscle.
