Neck Protection
Neck Protection of a hockey player is a collar made of plastic or Kevlar, which prevents injuries to the carotid arteries and cervical vertebrae as a result of a puck hitting the neck, a cut with a skate, or a stick hit. The use of neck protection is mandatory for players under 18 years of age. For adult hockey players, the use of protection is highly recommended.
Neck Protection comes in different types and can also protect the clavicle and part of the chest.
